Bloomsbury welcomes Teesside University, UK

This morning, Bloomsbury International School Hatyai, welcomed guest speakers from Teesside University in the UK, to speak to the Year 10 and 11 students that may wish to go abroad to study at university. Associate Dean International; Dr Gordon Marshall, started the visit by speaking to our students and parents in the Convention Hall about the future prospects there are for students that study abroad. He also emphasised the importance of A Levels in order to enrol in a University in the UK, something that Bloomsbury International School Hatyai is opening to our students in the next academic year.

After a short break, Year 10 and 11 students met the Senior Lecturer in Drawing for Games & Animation; Mr Dave Paget, in the ICT Suite, to see what Mr Paget does professionally aside from his lecturing. Mr Paget’s more recent commission has been as a Concept Artist on the 2017 film Kong: Skull Island. Mr Paget lead a small demonstration on how he builds and creates his virtual reality worlds using Photoshop, whilst students asked him questions about his techniques and freelance work.

Bloomsbury International School Hatyai, would like to thank Jutamat, Hempunpairoh, Country Manager, Thailand Teesside University, S.E.A Regional Officer, Dr. Gordon Marshall and Mr. David Paget for their inspirational visit and we hope the visit has sparked new ideas for our iGCSE students, and their visions for the future.
