My journey into education began as a teaching assistant in London while studying English Literature at university. That experience sparked my passion for helping young people build confidence and discover what they are truly capable of. After graduating from the TeachFirst programme at the University of Manchester, I taught in schools across the North West of England before moving to the Cayman Islands, where I led a dynamic, forward-thinking English department known for its rigour and high standards. During my time there, I was proud to help grow A-Level English into one of the school’s largest subjects and to help create a culture of learning that reached far beyond the classroom walls. I also worked as part of the leadership team that shaped the school’s improvement journey to ‘Excellent’. These experiences deepened my belief in the power of an ambitious, challenging curriculum — one that sparks curiosity, broadens horizons, and gives students the confidence to set ambitious goals and pursue them with purpose. Outside school, I love spending time with my wife and our two children, going on long family walks, and watching football as a long-suffering Arsenal fan. I am incredibly excited to be joining Bloomsbury as Head of Secondary and to bring my passion for curriculum to this vibrant school community. I look forward to helping every student feel seen, supported, and inspired to make the most of all that Bloomsbury has to offer.
