ABOUT BLOOMSBURY

Bloomsbury is a CIS accredited international school located on an attractive, purpose-built campus just a short drive from Hatyai International Airport.

We provide a British-style educational experience of the highest quality to children and young people aged 3-18, both day students and boarders. Our fully qualified teaching staff come mostly from the UK, enriched by the expertise of colleagues from other English speaking countries. Thai language, culture and history are taught and celebrated throughout the school.

PRINCIPAL’S WELCOME

It is my great pleasure to welcome you on your visit to our website. After twenty years in senior leadership in English schools and another ten internationally, I can tell you: this is a lovely school. It is safe, happy and successful.

Why?

We are blessed to have the most wonderful students. They are enthusiastic, hardworking and respectful. Their parents are supportive and engaged and we enjoy a strong home-school partnership. As a result, our teachers love working here. We have a high quality team of qualified and experienced professionals who go the extra mile to ensure each child’s wellbeing and achievement.

We are a small school, and we are determined to give personal attention to all of our children and young people. This includes providing personalised curricula for our gifted students, and for those who need additional support. Our recent graduates include one with 4A*s at A level and a special award from Cambridge for high achievement, but we are just as proud of a student who made tremendous progress to complete our GED programme.

Exam success is fundamentally important, and our students achieve at high levels, but I believe in giving the students reasons to love coming to school too. Music, drama, art and sport are central to our work, and I am delighted that they are popular IGCSE subjects as well. We have programmes in place to support students who are in the early stages of learning English and for those with additional learning needs.

We are educating Global Citizens. Young people with the knowledge, skills, understanding and values to thrive in and make sense of their rapidly changing world. They can take their place confidently in the global economy, but they also know their responsibilities. We educate our students to think critically and to collaborate to solve problems. They leave us fully prepared for the next stage of their education and with ambition not just to make a success of their lives, but to do some good in the world.
