Shafeeqah Rawat

Hello! My name is Shafeeqah Rawat, and I am from the friendly coastal city of Port Elizabeth in South Africa. I am delighted to be joining the Bloomsbury International School community. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Development and Foundation Phase, a Montessori teaching qualification, and a TEFL certificate. Over the past 14 years, I have taught in South Africa, Qatar, Egypt, New Zealand, and South Korea. Most recently, I worked as an Early Years Coordinator in Seoul, supporting teachers, developing curriculum, and creating engaging learning experiences for young children. I believe every child learns best in a nurturing environment where they feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore. I am passionate about inspiring curiosity, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through meaningful, play-based experiences. I am excited to become part of the Bloomsbury community, get to know my students and their families, and embrace life in Thailand. Outside the classroom, I enjoy travelling, CrossFit, discovering new cafés and restaurants, arts and crafts, and cooking and baking. I can’t wait to begin this exciting new chapter and create meaningful learning experiences with my students!
