I grew up in a small town in Cheshire, England, not far from Manchester, and from as early as I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. There was never any other career I wanted to pursue. After completing my BA (Hons) in Theology and Religious Studies at Liverpool Hope University, I went on to gain my PGCE in Secondary Education from St Mary’s University, Twickenham. Since qualifying in 2014, I have spent the past 12 years doing the job I always envisioned — and I still love it! I began my teaching career in the UK, where I taught Religious Education in a range of inner-city schools before earning the responsibilities of Head of Department. In 2021, my family and I began our international teaching journey in the Cayman Islands. During our four wonderful years there, alongside teaching Religious Education and A-Level Philosophy and Ethics, I broadened my experience by moving into pastoral leadership as Head of Key Stage 3, supporting students both academically and personally. After welcoming our youngest daughter, we decided it was time for another adventure and moved to Hat Yai. We have loved settling into the city and have been made to feel so welcome by the warmth and kindness of the local community. I am delighted to be returning to the classroom after an extended maternity break and am incredibly excited to become part of the school community. I look forward to getting to know the students and their families and helping every child grow in confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
