My name is Christopher David, and I’m very much looking forward to teaching at Bloomsbury International School Hatyai in Thailand. I have taught extensively in international schools across the Persian Gulf region over the past 15 years. Prior to that, I was Head of Strings at a music conservatory and performed with numerous professional orchestras across the UK and Europe. For the last 15 years, I’ve been based in Bahrain with my wife and, later, our two children. During the COVID-19 crisis, I found myself returning to my original field of study—Computer Science, which I began with a degree from the University of Glasgow. Since then, I’ve explored various avenues in computing, completed several further courses, launched a business, and worked as a consultant. I was awarded a BCS scholarship to train as a Computer Science teacher in the UK, where I taught at several schools across Yorkshire. I believe that all children should have access to high-quality education, and I’m passionate about applying the latest research to support effective teaching and learning. I’m especially excited to join the Bloomsbury community as a secondary CS teacher, and I look forward to contributing to musical activities and exploring cross-disciplinary opportunities. I’m also a trained Duke of Edinburgh instructor and am eager to support students on future expeditions and help them achieve their awards.
