Sisi Wu

Hello! My name is Sisi, and I am from Shanghai, China. I moved to London in 2022 and have spent almost four wonderful years studying and teaching in the UK. I hold a Master’s degree in Children’s Book Illustration and a PGCE in Secondary Mandarin Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), both from Goldsmiths, University of London. During my time in London, I taught children across nursery, primary and secondary schools. These experiences have shown me that every child learns differently, and I love creating engaging, creative lessons that help students build confidence while enjoying Mandarin and discovering Chinese culture. Outside the classroom, I enjoy travelling, photography, illustration, visiting museums and cafés, and playing the flute. I love learning about different cultures and am excited to experience life in Thailand. I am delighted to be joining the Bloomsbury family and can’t wait to meet the students, parents and staff. I look forward to inspiring a love of Mandarin, supporting every learner to achieve their best, and becoming an active member of this wonderful school community.
