Our secondary students proudly represented Israel, Japan, and Germany at the Phuket Model United Nations (MUN) conference held on October 4–5. They participated in the UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) and UN WOMEN committees, engaging in thoughtful debates on crucial global issues such as human rights violations in the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea, the growing problem of stateless individuals, and gender-based violence in South America. It was an incredibly educational and enlightening experience for our students. Despite it being our first MUN conference, one of our delegates, Austin from Year 10, achieved remarkable success by winning the Best Position Paper Award!
นักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาของเราได้เป็นตัวแทนของประเทศอิสราเอล ญี่ปุ่น และเยอรมนี ในการประชุมสหประชาชาติจำลอง Phuket Model United Nations (MUN) ซึ่งจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 4–5 ตุลาคมที่ผ่านมา โดยพวกเขาได้เข้าร่วมในการประชุมคณะกรรมาธิการสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNHRC) และคณะกรรมาธิการสตรีแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UN WOMEN) พร้อมทั้งได้อภิปรายในประเด็นระดับโลกที่สำคัญ เช่น การละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนในสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนเกาหลี(เกาหลีเหนือ) ปัญหาคนไร้สัญชาติที่เพิ่มขึ้น และความรุนแรงทางเพศในอเมริกาใต้กันอย่างเข้มข้น
การเข้าร่วมในครั้งนี้เป็นประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ที่ทรงคุณค่าและเปิดโลกทัศน์ให้กับนักเรียนของเราอย่างแท้จริง และถึงแม้จะเป็นการเข้าร่วมการประชุม MUN ครั้งแรกของโรงเรียน แต่ออสตินนักเรียนชั้นเยียร์ 10 หนึ่งในตัวแทนของเราก็ทำผลงานได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยมโดยการคว้ารางวัล Best Position Paper Award มาได้!
