Hello, I’m Fan Mingyu, also known as Jadie, and I’m thrilled to join the Bloomsbury International School community as a Mandarin teacher.

With a strong academic foundation in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language and English from Beijing International Studies University, I’ve developed a deep passion for language education. My journey has taken me from tutoring international students to teaching Chinese literature in Malaysia, and earning a master’s degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics.

I bring a wealth of experience, including professional certifications such as the CTCSOL Certificate and National Teacher Certification. My career has spanned roles from instructing foreign executives and their families to mentoring educators and developing educational resources at the British Embassy in Beijing.

Most recently, I served as a Chinese Teacher Trainer and was responsible for teaching online Chinese classes to students from all over the world and leading training programs. I am passionate about teaching Mandarin and dedicated to helping students understand and appreciate the language and culture. Seeing students make progress and gain confidence in their language skills is incredibly rewarding for me.

What really attracts me to Bloomsbury International School is its commitment to offering a diverse and enriching learning environment. I find it fulfilling to have the chance to participate in various activities with students and contribute to their overall development. I believe that by fostering a passion for Mandarin and embracing cultural diversity, we can help students become confident, globally-minded individuals.

In my free time, I enjoy singing, playing the ukulele, and I am also a vocalist in a band. These hobbies bring a creative balance to my life and I love sharing my passion for music with others.

I’m excited to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to Bloomsbury International School, and I look forward to inspiring students on their Mandarin learning journey.
